Shannon Werner Goldy is a Texas-trained dancer with a professional career as both a performer and a teacher.
She trained at the Houston Ballet Academy and is a dance graduate of Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA). In 1991, Shannon received her BFA in Dance Performance from Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University, in Dallas.
She began her professional performing career as a soloist with Randal Flinn’s Dance Ad Deum, a Houston-based contemporary dance company. Other performing credits include a soloist with the national Young Messiah Tour, performing with Ballet Magnificat, Storling Dance Theater, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, Dina Vail in Houston’s Choreographers x 6, and Joan Karff’s New Dance Group. Shannon enjoys sharing her love for ballet with aspiring dance students, having been a dance instructor at HSPVA, Kinard Dance School and the Jewish Community Center of Houston.
She continues her passion for teaching as a ballet instructor for Dance Du Coeur Sugar Land Dance Studio.
