Jamie Zahradnik - Dance Du Coeur Sugar Land Dance Studio
Jamie Zahradnik is from Wharton, Texas where she discovered her love of dance and art at a young age.
She attained her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Sam Houston State University graduating Summa Cum Laude in May 2008, and her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from SHSU graduating in 2011. She received her certification in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis through the Integrated Movement Studies Program in Salt Lake City, Utah where she studied with Peggy Hackney, Janice Meaden, and Ed Groff. She has studied and trained under Andy and Dionne Noble, Jennifer Pontius, Jonathan Charles, Dana Nicolay, and Erin Reck.
While attending graduate school at SHSU, Jamie was employed by the dance program as a dance instructor teaching Ballet, Jazz, and Modern classes to a variety of levels, as well as Laban Movement Analysis, Contact Improvisation and Partnering, Career Resources in Dance, and Dance Criticism and Analysis. She has performed with the SHSU Dance Company working under SHSU dance faculty Dana Nicolay, Jean Denney-Grotewohl, Cindy Gratz, and Hilary Bryan, and guest artists Mei Ling Chen and Astrid Von Ussar.
She is an original company member and a long-term guest performing artist with Rednerrus Feil Dance Company under the artistic directorship of Amy Llanes. She humbly received the Dance Performance Scholarship and Special Graduate Scholarship 2009, and the Marry Ella Montague Endowed Performance Scholarship in 2010.
Jamie has recently moved to the Houston area where she is enjoying dancing, teaching, performing, choreographing, and learning new things about herself through movement every single day.
